Bob and Ray's "soaps"

How would Bob and Ray's take-offs on the soaps be categoried? Could they be included on this BB or are they considered parodies, comedy or....? I enjoyed listening to them since I wasn't tuned in to radio while soaps where still on. Mary Backstayge, Noble Wife and The Gathering Dusk were outstanding, as were Matt Knepper, Boy Spot-Welder and One Feller's Family. I wonder what ever became of Miss Edna. And, did she get herself out of bed and resume her dull and miserable existence, a life of drudgery of which she was blissfully unaware how desolate her life really was.....
