I'm always on the lookout for material on Annette Hanshaw, so when I learned that she, and May Bream, are featured on volume 3 of the captioned series, I had to have it. I found it on the "Redmond Nostalgia Company" website, but when I tried to buy it, I found that their order form wasn't working. I then sent them a message but received no reply. I also tried to call them, but the telephone company had no listing.

I'm beginning to thing that the Redmond Nostalgia Company is no longer in business, but if I'm wrong and someone knows how I can contact them, I would certainly be very grateful. Beyond that, can anyone tell me anything about the series? From what I've gathered from bits and pieces on the Internet, it is quite comprehensive. However, it must have been done long ago, because it is very difficult to find any of volumes on the Internet, although it appears that there must have been at least 30 of them. What a treasure. What a resource. If a seller can be located, that is.

I found it, and the program has now been posted on the Yahoo Groups Annette Hanshaw site. It is split equally between Annette Hanshaw and May Breen. Today, no one has heard of May Breen, but she must have been important at one time.

This shows the vagaries of fame. At the time the CD was made, at least someone thought that May Breen deserved equal billing with Annette Hanshaw. Well, maybe that was so, then, nobody had ever heard of either of them. However, now, May Breen is still unknown, but Annette Hanshaw is all over the Net. It's also revealing that it took SIX YEARS for someone to comment like that about my remarks.
