<I>The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra</I> -  Tommy Dorsey and his orchestra were heard "live" on network radio from 1934 through 1946.  Some of his early appearances were as Summer replacements for Fred Waring's orchestra on CBS.  
Some of the later show names were <I>Summer Pastime, Fame and Fortune, Tommy Dorsey's Variety Show, Endorsed by Dorsey, Tommy Dorsey's Playshop, Summer Seranade,</I> and <I>Your Navy Show</I>.  The orchestra's theme song 
was <I>I'm Getting Sentimental Over You</I>.  Here is a short clip from Mr Dorsey's appearance at the <A HREF="dorsey390915.ram">Hotel Pennsylvania</A> (in New York), on September 15th, 1939.
