SEARCHING FOR OLD COMEDY SHOW

Postby Mark » Sun Jan 01, 2006 11:45 pm

Greetings,

I am searching for an old radio show I heard on the radio... unfortunately I do not who it is or which show.

It was a Christmas Show (I would guess from the 40s or 50s) and the general joke was a guy was shopping and everywhere he went, as he was shopping, there was the same Santa in front of the store ringing a bell and he would say "put some money in the pot boy!".... do you happen to know who did that or who else I might contact that is familiar with old radio shows?

Thanks much,

Mark

Jack Kirkwood played the Santa.
I know Jack did that on a Bob Hope Show Christmas Show, Gregory Peck guest starred and Doris Day sang a song or two.

I have also heard Kirkwood say "Put it in Pot, Boy" on the Railroad hour and the Doris Day Show.
