The Original Old-Time Radio BBS

This was a show that ran in the early '50's. Each half hour featured the narrator reading a letter he had written to his girlfriend. Marlowe-like he'd itemize the situation followed by his signature statement, Dear Margie It Was Murder ... and the drama began. Does anyone else remember the program? I have no idea if it were of network or syndication.

The series name was Dear Margie, It's Murder

It starred Mason Adams as an American veteran studying in England who in his spare time helped Scotland Yard.

It ran on Mutual from January 11, 1953 through October 4, 1953.

Thanks for the info. I'm shocked at myself for not making the Mason Adams connection as I remembered the timbre of the hero's voice. Anyway, DMIM and The Shadow were my faves ack then for Sunday afternoon listening. (Isn't it amusing what will catch a child's fantasy?) My very favorite detective show was Mr. & Mrs. North (Halo, everybody, Halo) with Joseph Curtin and Alice Frost.
