"Good News" shows

Does anyone know about the Good News variety shows? ("Good News of 1938", "Good News of 1939", etc.)

I'm curious how they titled the show. I've downloaded some Good News shows from RUSC, and several are dated from the fall of 1938, but the announcer says "Good News of 1939". He says the same thing for the shows that are dated from the spring of 1939.

Is it possible that the 1938-39 season of the show was referred to as "Good News of 1939", and so on & so forth with the succeeding seasons?

Just curious if anyone knows anything about that show...
