Radio Active

Dear OTR Fans:
I am a professor of media history at Carnegie Mellon University. My first book on radio in the 1930s/1940s has just been published. It's called "Radio Active." OTR fans might enjoy my discussion of radio commercials (chapter two) and my discussion of news commentator Boake Carter (Chapter four), soap operas (Chater five) and the Department of Agriculture's "Consumer Time" (Chapter six).
