To anyone reading this Bulletin Board:

I am interested in finding out where I can find

transcripts of Fulton Oursler radio broadcasts, from

1943-44. Oursler had his own show during this time,

sponsored by Loews. It aired Monday thru Friday at

8:15. He was also a substitute for Walter Winchell,

whose show was known as the "Jergens Journal." It

was on Sundays at 9:00 p.m. I have been told that

there are 24 surviving transcripts of Winchell's

shows. I am inquiring on behalf of historian

Thomas Fleming. Many thanks. I may be reached at this

bulletin board.

Dear Steven, Look into the possibility that Mr. Ousler's 1943-44 series might have been only a local show someplace or a regional show broadcast, for example, only in New England or only on the west coast etc. Have you checkd microfilm files at major libraries where you are for radio schedules from major newspapers such as the New York Times ,Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune or San Francisco Chronicle from that period. That might help narrow it down. If you could possibly find a known station that it was on, then some people reading this board could help you determine if it was a network or synd
