I'm sort of helping a radio engineer friend put together some items on the early history of one of the stations he works for in his company, KHJ-Los Angeles. (Now Spanish language KKHJ, 930-AM)

Does anyone have information on who William N. Robson was and his relationship with KHJ in the 1930s? (Didn't he have something to do with the old radio program "Calling All Cars", which was done in Los Angeles?)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi;

Don't know about any association Robson had with KHJ, but he was one of old time radio's most active and prolific producers, writers, and directors. In addition to "Calling All Cars", Robson's biggest credits were producing--at one time or another--"Escape" and "Suspense", as well as many documentary radio dramas, most notably "Man Behind the Gun". Hope this helps you.

Hi again;

The CBS Radio Western "Fort Laramie", starring Raymond Burr also comes to mind as another Robson production.
