Since this seems to be a forum for Old Time Radio stars that have left us, I wanted to pass along that another, Artie Shaw, has passed away on December 30, 2004.
His radio show work included the Gorge Burns and Gracie Allen Show. He was the show's bandleader and he also did some skits with George and Gracie. The show's sponsor at the time was Spam and he and his band did the opening number for the show. I hope that we can all take a moment to remember Artie Shaw |
