The Whistler is by far my favorite old-time radio show. I would love to have photos of some of the actors. Elliot Lewis is my favorite voice but I can't seem to locate a picture of him. Wally Maher and Rye Billsbury are two others.
Also, the very first Whistler,(Retribution) had a male lead but they never disclose the actors portraying the characters. Not the man playing the Whistler, but the male lead in the show. Any information would help. Thanks |

| Elliot Lewis! I can do better than a photo for you! He played a comic mobster in a movie. He had a lot of screen time in Ma & Pa Kettle Go To Town, a 1950 movie in which the comic pair go to New York when Pa Kettle wins a jingle-writing contest. Jim Backus, the cartoon voice of Mr. McGoo, has a bit part of a comic villain as well. Elliot Lewis wears a zoot suit in this movie. He looks a bit like Evil Eye Fleagle, a charact |
