I hope this is not true, but I heard Jackson Beck passed away within the last few days. We all of course remember him as the announcer on such shows as: The Adventures Of Superman,Mark Trail, Tom Corbett,Space Cadet, and as "Tank Tinker" on Hop Harrigan, and as detectives and assorted character actors on many OTR shows too numerous to list here.We all remember him as "Blutto" in many "Popeye" cartoons over at Paramount. He, over the last 50 some odd years has been an expounder of many products, especially children's products, over the last 50 years, even up into this year of 2004. He will be sorely missed, if it is true that he has indeed left us.He was a very short man in stature, but had that king-size' manly, commanding voice, some people would kill to possess. He was one of a kind that won't unfotunately pass this way again.I salute you , Jackson Beck, for all those entertaining years on radio and television that you gave us for over half a century. God bless you, wherever you are! We're the real losers!

Jackson Beck has passed away according to Old-Time Radio Digest. He was known not only for the great radio shows that he starred in, but as a kid I remember him for the many voices he provided on TENNESSEE TUXEXDO,UNDERDOG and THE KING LEONARDO cartoons- that's the first place I ever saw the talent of one Jack Beck come out-GOD BLESS YOU THE CISCO KID!!!

No, not Superman himself. I believe that was Bud Collier. But Jackson was the anno
