Has anyone ever heard of, or might know where to find these apparently obscure WW2 broadcasts?

A movie based on this radio show pops up from time to time on eBay.

Hi Janet, I too am looking for "Reveille With Beverly" OTR shows on MP3's. I read that she was one of the female DJ's on "G.I. Jill." She received a broadcast award for her tenure on "G.I. Jill" on Sept. 16, 1943.I know of at least 3 OTR dealers who have the G.I. Jill shows.Go to "Google" and type in either of these sites: OTRCAT OTRNOW or The Radio Lady. There is another gentleman who is looking for the shows also. He may have some of the shows by now. His e-mail address is: Deano53@juno.com.Good Luck!

Thank you for your responses to the REVEILLE WITH BEVERLY question. Yes, the movie was supposedly based loosely on the life of the first female D.J.ever(by virtue of the AFRS). The two vendors that you mentioned are two of dozens with that copy of G.I. JIVE with G.I.Jill, which, by the way, isn't very clear. I have all of those programs on reel to reel, too, but they're all numbered via AFRS, so I wouldn't know which is from 9/16/43. Guess I should just run the programs and listen! Thanks for the hint. By the way, hope you'll add RADIOREVISITED.COM *** http://radiorevisited.com/ ***to your list of websites along with (better yet, in place of!) the other two you referred to. The MP3 with G.I Jive is offered there under "COMMAND PERFORMANCE" , thus under the letter "C" on the master list. Thanks again.

Thanks Janet for the information about "Reveille With Beverly" on "Command Performance." I never got around to listening to it as I have quite a few "Command Performance" on 2 MP3's. I will check it out and listen to it. Bob Slate

I'm sad to say we lost "Reveille With Beverly" (Jean Haye), around Sept. 19th of this month, of a heart attack while gardening in her yard. This great patriotic lady will be sorely missed by all the World War II veterans who listened to her during the war and also to us Old Time Radio fans who were too young to listen to her. God bless you Beverly, where ever y
