Tony Randall, reggie from the "I Love A Mystery" series, has died at 84 as just announced on Paul Harvey's new and commentaries although he is known more for the role of Felix Unger on tv, he is known more for us radio buffs as Reggie Yorke on ILAM_God Bless you Tony---

I also heard on Paul Harvey that Tony Randall went to the same high school in Oklahoma. About two weeks ago Paul gave a wonderful description of Tony Randall, the actor and human being. Paul told the world that Tony was very ill and he wanted to make sure that he heard what the general public thought of him.

This is my tribute to Reggie, Felix, and their inner ego:

Thank goodness for Tony Randall's love of acting. He blessed every form of media he graced. From radio, to the movies, to television and especially the theater; Tony Randall made us laugh, cry, think, and feel. He was, and is, what every actor aspires to be; and yet he did it with such great style we never knew he was acting! Today he is remembered with respect, he is honored with affection, and above all he will be missed by all those who witnessed his mastery of acting.

In radio, I can still hear him use his version of an "English accent", and in TV I can still hear explain to us all what ASSUME means.
Thanks for blessing us, Mr. Randall, your audience...

I can't recall the radio program series, but Tony Randall played a foppish sidekick on a detective show. Was it Candy Matson?
