| I am seeking recordings made in the late 1970s on KSTT radio (1170 AM, Davenport, Iowa). I am looking for recordings of any program on this station, but particularly Spike O'Dell's "Spike At the Mic" morning show from ca. 1978-80, before he was hired away by WGN in Chicago. I know this is not exactly "OTR", but perhaps someone might have some other leads for me. I have been searching for radio archives that have this kind of material, but so far no luck. I would welcome any tips on where else I might look for something like this. Thanks! |

| The only hope I can give you is if someone on the station now was there or knew some one who might have worked there then.The reason I say this is the KSTT-AM is now KJOC and KSTT's website is for a FM station in San Luis Abispo, California. Or perhaps you can e-mail Spike at WGN and hope he knows or has recordings himself. ed kienzler springfield illinois |

| Thanks for the heads-up, Ed. I did contact Spike...he had one lead for me but so far it hasn't panned out, so I thought I'd post on the net and see if anything appeared. Yes, KSTT-AM went off the air years ago, which is why it is not |
