Hi, I'm looking for the series and episode titles of a couple OTR episodes I heard a few years back. My guess is they were either Suspense, Escape, Mysterious Traveler or something of that ilk.
In one, I think some fugitives were trapped on an island with a giant spider. The days were extremely hot and they were starving and delusional, and at one point the main character realizes he is being slowly enveloped by the spider's gigantic legs. That's all I got. In another, a young couple in a loft apartment tries to murder some elderly person by tainting the medication, but there's a tragic mixup. That's all for now. Any help appreciated! -J |

Can't help you out with the spider deal, but the other one sounds like an episode of SUSPENSE entitled "Too Little to Live On," originally broadcast February 7, 1946 with George Murphy and Nancy Coleman.
My personal favorite, however, is the reprised version from December 26, 1947--which features Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hilliard.

I think you are correct on the Suspense one. I will try to track it down.
I have another ID request on behalf of my friend: [09:18PM] hunt master: there was one show about a couple that bought a new house and it was haunted or something, that one was great and now i dont remember what show or where i found it

there was one show about a couple that bought a new house and it was haunted or something,...there was a dog involved somehow i think...the couple was driving along and saw a real estate place and they were taken to the house and bought it...there was a incredibly scary screaming/howling noise
That's an excellent description of the Suspense broadcast of December 5, 1946, "The House in Cypress Canyon". Bob |

| The episode you were seeking came from Dec.26,1947 and yes it starred Ozzie and Harriet with Joe Kearns as the elderly uncle they plot to kill. I bought it through a Barnes and Noble store listed as "Tales of Mystery and Suspense" and came in a black and red container that held 4 tapes with 8 shows in 10 volumes. You might want to check with B@N in your area. It is the best I can do. It's very good!!! Ed Kienzler Springfield,Illinois |
