Hi, I've been searching the net for hours now looking for a site or something where I can get the recordings of the Portia Faces Life soap opera. It's an old time radio show that was on during the 1940s to early 1950s. I'm interested in buying the whole audio recordings of this soap. It's for my grandmother, it was her favorite show back in that day. Please if you have any information on how I can purchase, or download this, e-mail me at beaniehead02@yahoo.com. Thank you.

1. Check our Great Radio Soap Opera BBS for more information on Portia Faces Life. You can "correspond" with additional interested parties there. The host, Jim Cox, is an expert on old soaps.

2. The program was originally heard in San Antonio, TX, on KTSA, in 1940. The station still exists, so you might try contacting the station manager to see if there are any Electronic Transcriptions hiding in a closet. If you do so, please keep us informed!

3. According to Jay Hickerson, there are only six shows available, so any additional shows you find will certainly be "a find"! Considering that the show was broadcast five times a week, for nearly 11 years, the percentage of remaining shows is certainly low!

4. Other places to check include the sponsors of this site. One or more may have some of
