I am looking for information on Scotty Harrell (family member).

I would like to find on a special radio broadcast where Scotty Harrell said some special words to his parents for their 50th anniversary while he was performing with:
The Andrew Sisters over the blue network on Sunday, January 17 1945 at 3:30 over station KOMA (Scotty was in Hollywood but I think KOMA was our local station for Oklahoma)

I would appreciate any information of where I could get a copy (or other information on Scotty Harrell).

Background info: Scotty (1911-1991) started out with the Bell Boys in 1937 OKC, then Jimmy Wakely Trio, music performer in many Johnny Mack Brown, Tex Ritter, Gene Autry and Roy Rogers movies, sang with the Sons of Pioneers and was a member of The Riders of the Purple Sage.

Thanks Annette (panheader@msn.com)

Annette,

I went through all of my files and couldn't find the specific date you are looking for. I did a bit mor research and came up with the info I'll paste below.

The Andrews Sisters Show. January 14, 1945. ABC Blue net origination, AFRS rebroadcast. Replacing Jack Carson AFRS #19. Gabby is determined to become the next singer "discovered" by Rudy Vallee. The Andrews Sisters, Gabby Hayes, Vic Schoen and His Orchestra, Rudy Vallee (guest), Foy Willing and The Riders Of The Purple Sage. 29:54.

The Andrews Sisters Show. January 21, 1945. ABC Blue net. Sponsored by: Nash-Kelvinator. Guest Peter Lorre and Sydney Greenstreet are out West to "shoot" a movie...and sing! The Andrews Sisters, Gabby Hayes, Foy Willing and The Riders Of The Purple Sage, Peter Lorre, Sydney Greenstreet, Vic Schoen and His Orchestra. 29:10.

I believe the shows may actually be named "The Eight to the Bar Ranch." I'll keep my eyes open for them.
