Hi. I'm a 12 year old OTR fan, who started collecting OTR about four years ago. The first series that introduced me to OTR was Suspense. Since then, Suspense has been the ultimate in radio drama for me. I'd like to know all you other OTR collector's opinion's, on what is the greatest Suspense episode of all time.
My favorite is the extreamly frightening House In Cypress Canyon.

Oh my goodness, there are so many good episodes.
Can't name just one.
A few of my favorites:
To Find Help
The Yellow Wallpaper
Diary of Saphronia Winters
Sorry, Wrong Number
(Come to think of it, just about anything starring Agnes Moorehead)
The Hitchhiker
Backseat Driver
and being in the healthcare field, I do have a fondest for the 1950's show, The Operation. Though this episode probably isn't to everyone's taste.

With its 20-year run on radio, Suspense has provided a wealth of choices for good listening. Interesting selections, folks....
I particularly enjoyed Drury's Bones, (Boris Karloff), Banquo's Chair, (James Mason), and Dark Tower, (Orson Welles)

Wet Saturday, The Devil In the Summer House, Furnished Floor and Dime a Dance are among my favorites. I like Lucille Fletcher's work the best, though Sorry, Wrong Number doesn't do it for me, as I've seen the movie too many times. The Diary Of Sophronia Winters is extraordinary. I love the way she weaves music throughout her stories.

Drury's Bones with Karloff is one of my faves... Wet Saturday is devilishly hilarious, as is Short Order... Quiet Sunday has a shocking ending ... and given your age, Zero Hour would probably amuse you.... Good to see your interest in OTR....

Oh yeah, I just couldn't laeve out August Heat (Ronald Coleman), and Dead Ernest as Suspense favorites of mine. I don't really care for Sorry, Wrong Number very much, but The Hitchhiker is marvelous, and VERY scary!

Hi again.. had to jump in one more time...Don't we just love to be scared stiff... Another goodie is a show in which Elliot Lewis, one of the show's producers, opens with "Among the great classics of radio drama, none is more memorable than 'Three
Skeleton Key,' but you won't remember it by that name. It is known simply as that story about the rats." As always, Vincent Price gives a terrific performance.

Naming favorite OTR shows is fun, and sometimes informative. You will find a special place reserved for that activity at this site - just go to
http://www.old-time.com/polls/nominate/nomfavshow.php
to enter your votes (and reasons therefor), as well as to read other folks reasons for voting for a particular OTR show. Lots of Suspense episodes are listed there.

NEW: Just added a rudimentary analysis page, so you can see how many votes were received by each nominated series, as well as see the various nominated episodes for each series.

If you "vote" at that page, rather than here, we can achieve a relatively centralized place for your votes and messages, as well as try to determine if any particular OTR show was actually more favored!

The polling page doesn't seem to work right now? Anyway, I've listened to many Suspense episodes, and still, there are so many! I just listened to Sorry, Wrong Number last night, again, and some how, I enjoyed it madly last night! Well, here are some more Suspense episodes that I just can't forget!

The Black Shawl
The DUnwich Horror
Mission Completed
Fleshpeddler
Drury's Bones
Track Of The Cat

and now for two masterpieces
On A Country Road
Ghost Hunt
