The folks who host the old-time.com site have offered the use of a new, virtual machine. I'm in the process of moving files there now. If all works out OK, the transition should be fairly transparent to you ... no change in web address, but faster responses once you get here.
Hopefully there will be no loss of BBS messages. If you access this site by its numeric IP address, that address will go stale sometime near the end of this month. The domain aliases, www.old-time.com or old-time.com will take you to the new machine at that time. Again, hopefully there will be no downtime, but if the site disappears for a couple of days near the end of this month, it is probably because your Domain Name Server didn't pick up the new address in a timely fashion. Just try again, after a couple of hours. Lou |

Good News - we are ahead of schedule, and have included some new or improved goodies for you. 1. When the "new" Old-Time site is activated, you will have the opportunity to try our newer, and even more improved Humongous OTR Database Search Engine. The new database has about 59,512 OTR shows listed, and sports an easier-to-use interface (just a few clicks to determine if the OTR shows exist). The search and display is extremely fast, so there will be little or no waiting to see the results of your search. If you have your OTR catalog in a database or spreadsheet (or even text) format, and would like it added to the online searchable database, send me an email for more information. 2. The BBS software has also been updated ... to version 5.01. The new software will give experienced users even more capability to format, search and display messages. 3. A few more (poll-type) scripts need be converted from their current language. Hopefully all will be done by the time the new machine takes over in late August / early September. As usual, if you have any suggestions for improvements or additional content at this site, send me an email, and I'll see what I can do. Lou |

Things going quite well. Expect changeover to new site at any time. (Keeping fingers crossed, and knocking on my wooden head). You will know you are at the new site if you see "WebBBS 5.01" near the bottom of this page, rather than "WebBBS 4.33". You will also have access to the newer, even more imp |
