I'm interested in buying/renting old-style sound effects props (like the ones used in radio dramas) for a production in June of 2000. Props can be vintage or reproductions. Homemade okay.

If you don't find volunteers to supply the real thing, a very short page of what was used "back then" is at Jack French's Sound Effects Article
You might also consider visiting our Read A Book on Old-Time Radio Page and scroll down to the "Radio Sound Effects" page. Most of the things mentioned in both the article and the book can be home made, or (at least) non-operating mockups can be made. Lou | </
