The American Cinematheque is having a "Radio Goes to the Movies" weekend May 10-12. This will consist of movies that influenced or were influenced by radio shows, along with re-creations of famous programs. It will be held at the restored Egyptian Theater on Hollywood Blvd.

On Saturday evening, Jack Webb's contribution to both media will be honored with a re-creation of a "Pat Novak for Hire" broadcast, and a screening of "He Walked By Night" (1948). There will also be a panel discussion (and audience Q&A I suppose) on Jack's career, which will include Herb Ellis, Art Gilmore, Herm Saunders and myself... and maybe others. The Cinematheque is also hoping to add the feature film "Dragnet" (1954) to the program, but they haven't yet found a 35mm screening print (apparently Universal doesn't have one). If anyone has been to (or knows of) a recent screening of the film at a repertory theater, or knows any
