I am doing some preliminary research for a video documentary on the National Barn Dance, a radio program that aired live on WLS in Chicago and was broadcast across the nation from the late 1920's through the 1950's.
I was wondering if anyone might have some knowledge of the National Barn Dance and this early era of live radio and if you might know of possible resources for audio archives, film footage and people that I might want to speak with who remember the Barn Dance? Also any ideas for current country performers who could talk about the importance/influence of the Barn Dance? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Steve Parry stevep@image-base.com
