Hi everyone,
I heard an episode of Duffy's Tavern on the radio a few days ago. Unfortunatelly, I couldn't hear it very clearly as the signal wasn't very good. Could anyone please explain to me what Duffy's Tavern is all about. There doesn't seem to be a log for it on this website. Cheers Henry |

"Duffy's Tavern" was a tavern run by manager Archie, ably(?) assisted by Eddie the Bartender, and by Miss Duffy. Regulars, such as Finnegan (the hopelessly dull-witted best friend of Archie's), would show up. As well, there would be usually be a big name guest star who, for some strange reason, would show up in this broken-down roadhouse in Brooklyn. The owner, Duffy, would never appear on-air, but the show would usually open with a phone call from Duffy to Archie.
I don't have a log for this show, but I do know that it ran from the early to mid 1940's until ~1952 or 1953. |

| Duffy's Tavern had real class. It was the place "where the elite meet to eat" .... Duffy wasn't ever there but called in to Archie regularly "oh hello Duffy" |
