Anyone recall "Twenty Questions?" I'm referring to the USA version. I tried to do a search for it on the internet, and all I found was a UK version of the show. I recall the show came on during the weekend about suppertime in the midwest, where I am. So, a panel had to guess what something was in no more than 20 questions. The only panelist I recall was a John Vandevanner (spelling), who was touted as "their college student." One question that always brought some laughter from the studio audience was, "Is it bigger (or smaller) than a bread basket. It was a most entertaining show when radio was a real entertainment medium. :)

This populular quiz show debuted Feb 46 and went off the air in Mar 54. It was sponsored by Ronson and the moderator was Bill Slater. Fred VanDeventer and his family were the primary panelists. His wife Florence used her maiden name (Rinard) and their son, Bobby, used his grandmother's surname, McGuire. Later, daughter Nancy VanDeventer came on, using her real name. The only non-family panel member was Herb Polesie, the producer.

About 14 shows have survived and are in trading currency.
