Here are more new features in the new version of the BBS software:
  • You can search the messages using keywords
  • Messages are no longer automatically expired. I'm working on a read-only area for those truly ancient messages, but most have disappeared into the rusty bit bucket in the sky.
  • You can set your preferences so you see ONLY new message headers when you log in. (Cookies must be enabled in your browser to do this)
  • Top 10 posters are shown
  • Updated: More HTML tags can be used by posters who would like fancy formatting For those who don't know HTML, simple formatting with spaces, etc can also be done.
  • More configuration sorting choices for message header display.
  • You can now edit your message directly from the preview screen. No more clicking on BACK and FORWARD buttons!
  • Each header now includes a count of how many times the message was viewed.
  • New main BBS entry page or gateway - shows number of messages in each BBS and the date/time of the most recent post.

Please "check in" via www.old-time.com/otrbbss.html rather than via a shortcut directly to the BBS (the latter URL might change unexpectedly)

More (or fewer) features are available. Let me know if you think some additional enhancement might be really handy, or if some existing feature is particularly irritating.

Enjoy!

You might want to check or change your viewing and sorting preferences by clicking on the SET PREFERENCES link near the top of each Message Index. Your preferences should be set for each BBS to which you subscribe.

I have provided a shortcut to the Set Preferences area for this BBS below.

Enjoy!

BBS drivers updated yet again, to version 4.10.

Hopefully this will solve the problem of a few disappearing messages on these BBSs.

User interface has changed only very slightly, so you probably will notice no difference from version 4.02

If something really strange happens, send me a note o
