One OTR drama that stands out in my mind was the story of an amateur pilot on a night flight with his young son. He's in over his head and on the verge of panic, as a controller desperately tries to talk him down safely.
I'm just not sure of where this story came from, let alone its episode title. It may have been Nightbeat--somehow the phrase "30" comes to mind, as does the voice of Frank Lovejoy. Does anyone else remember this one better than me? Thanks. |

| You're right...Frank Lovejoy played the air traffic controller. The story is "The Long Night", performed on "Suspense" on November 18, 1956 and again on July 13, 1958. |

| John, Thanks very much. I just had a hunch, but nothing more. KSFO (San Francisco) used to air OTR shows in the evening about 20 yea |
