I'm trying to get an idea of what radio shows Jack Webb did, and what is still extant of his work.
I have two episodes from "The Jack Webb Show" from April 1946 - a comedy/variety show, which is a genre I wouldn't normally associate Webb with. Are these the only surviving episodes? Does anyone have more information on how long this show ran? I have also got four episodes from a 1946 series called "One Out Of Seven" (are there only 4 episodes available here?) - an interesting commentary on current events that tries hard to make itself NOT look like a commentary, presumably to avoid complaints from listeners who don't share the same opinions. Again, are there only four shows existing here? How long did this show run for? I know also of "Pete Kelly's Blues" (when did this run?), "Johnny Madero, Pier 23" (when did this run?), "Jeff Regan, Investigator", "Pat Novak For Hire", and, of course, "Dragnet". What other shows was Jack Webb involved with? Thanks. |

There is a book available that has all the information you want and a lot more. It is "The New, Revised Ultimate History of Network Radio Programming and Guide to ALL Circulating Shows." by Jay Hickerson. It includes information on over 6,000 programs by giving their broadcast dates, sponsors, network, air time and number of shows available.

| I, too, am a Jack Webb fan and I believe he was involved with an unsuccessful show called "GREAT CAESARS GHOST" on the ABC network around 1946. He didn't perform in it but was probably the producer/director. |
