Howdy Folks WHAT DOES A CLASSICAL DJ DO BETWEEN SECTIONS? -- "An Insider's Story From Behind The Microphone," is my account of working at WLOL-FM, Minneapolis, when they had a classical music format. Tons of insider talk. A rare account from back in the 1970's.
Hope you'll give it a read. It's on the Music Web site, which is www.musicweb.uk.net/pot.htm. If you get to the site, you can simply type in "Classical DJ" at the finder, and it will get you to my 9,000 word story. It's also listed under "Pot-pourri" on their menu. I am happy to share this with you! Working at this now rare medium of classical commerical radio provided many adventures. As you know, most classical radio now is owned by a gigantic "public funded" corporation, where you hear the same DJ program all over the country. So this was one of those "thrilling days of yesteryear." Best, |
