Hi everyone;
A few days ago someone posted the web-site address for the National Screen and Sound archive of Australia. Out of curiousity, I entered the search term "Mystery" and found to my surprise as I scrolled down the page of hits from my search a radio show called "I Love A Mystery." Looking closer to the two entries that came up, it appears to be a 1951 series. The summary details from that entry I'll include here: Summary: A whimsical narrator who loves a mystery presents, in fully dramatised form, a thrilling mystery. Contributors: Artransa (PDC) Label: Macquarie Episode duration: 15 mins Episodes produced: 52 References: B&TV Mar. 16, 1951, p. 6. Now, I'm a big fan of Carlton E. Morse's infamous blood and thunder radio serial, "I Love A Mystery" that featured three heroes--Jack, Doc and Reggie--as they battled gangsters and even the seemingly supernatural.I even have a web page devoted to the show with logs, a FAQ, illos of the actors and synopses of lost shows. But I've never heard of an Australian version of this series, and from the description above this appears to be a mystery anthology series. But is it? Has anyone else ever heard of this show? *Could* this have represented a trial run of Carlton E. Morse's series overseas? After all, another Morse show, "One Man's Family" was also recreated down under... Although the archives include only a few fragmentary episodes (episodes 73 and 74), it would be very useful to know if this was a de novo series, else another of Morse's rebroadcasts (his MBC/NYC reprisal series would also overlap this Australian production). If anyone has any further information about this show, could they share it on this forum? ::Brian:: web-master, unoffical "I Love A Mystery" web site www.angelfire.com/on/ilam |

| Artransa produced their own dramas with Australian actors, although they sometimes used American scripts. (Sometimes Australian versions of USA shows would write their own scripts, such as "Gunsmoke" with "Matt Morgan.") |

| I have one or two episodes of this Australian series. Sadly, it has nothing to do with Morse's I Love A Mystery, and is in fact the description you found at the |
