| Curious about the series, Results,Inc. which I believe was on the Mutual Network. What was the premise?. Was Lloyd Nolan a regular? How long was it on? Thanks. |

This series was on Mutual from Oct 7 to Dec 30, 1944 with Lloyd Nolan in the lead for all episodes. He played "Johnny Strange", private detective and Claire Trevor portrayed his secretary, "Theresa Travers". Two episodes have survived: the first and last shows of the series. The premise of the program was contained in the first newspaper ad Strange ran: "Results Incorporated--Your problem is our problem. Will locate your long lost uncle, work your crossword puzzle, hold your baby."

| A decade ago (has it been that long?) I was part of a group in Cincinnati that did re-creations of OTR shows at nursing homes, etc. The first (and only) show we did was a re-creation of RESULTS 1st episode(I figured nobody would care since it was short-lived). We rehearsed endlessly for weeks,taping all rehearsals, performed about a half dozen times in front of an audience (with convention regulars Joel and Carolyn Senter in the leads)including once with Willard Waterman as announcer for a TV news spot. My future wife, Rene and I were kind of brought together by the group so Results will always have a soft spot in my heart! Oh, the original episodes are |
