| Only one problem is that due to copyrights and royalties, some programs are still being blocked. However, last I checked (A couple of weeks ago), most drama/quiz etc. output is being streamed. |

All five of the BBC's national radio stations in the UK now broadcast online. The url address is: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/launcher/radio01.html
There is not exactly a lot of OTR being broadcast by the BBC at present, as they tend to get criticism when they broadcast re-runs. However, current shows worth listening to include JUST A MINUTE (still going strong after 33 years!), and THE NEWS HUDDLINES (a topical news satire show, with comedian Roy Hudd, which has been running since 1977). Radio 4 broadcasts various half-hour comedy shows on weekday evenings at 6:30pm, British Summer Time (BST). JUST A MINUTE is broadcast on a Monday in that timeslot (it's not on right now but will be back in a few weeks). Radio 2 broadcasts an hour of comedy on Saturday lunchtimes, from 1:00pm BST - including, currently, THE NEWS HUDDLINES at 1:30pm BST. Radio 4 drama is usually on in the afternoons, especially Saturdays, usually between 2:00pm and 4:00pm BST. Radio 4 has an online schedule at http://www.bbc.co.uk/whatson/adv_search.shtml? Time conversion - British Summer Time is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), ie 12:00 noon GMT = 1:00pm BST. GMT is five hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time, ie 12:00 noon EST = 5:00pm GMT (I think!) |

| BBC-Time conversions can be confusing (+5 hours daylight savings time/+6 hours standard time) but I know on C-Band dish (location F-3/transponder 7/audio 540 or SAP/C-Span 1) the schedule for the BBC Play of the Week is Saturday evening 7pm (EDT)/2300 GMT and for BBC Drama Serial Sunday nights 11:30pm (EDT)/ 0430 GMT. The BBC does provide quality radio dramas and have done so since the Golden Age of Radio (reference book "A Skyful of Freedom The History of the BBC"). The BBC will be on satellite radio wometime in the near future. |
