This news program was on Mutual from Jul 1941 to Dec 1943 and was sponsored by Aspertine (whatever that was?) and later, American Home Products. It was on five days a week at noon.
There are two shows from this series still in circulation, but I have no idea of how to locate them, other than quiring some of the OTR merchants with large holdings. Hughes also had a news show called "Hughes Reels" on NBC, five times weekly from 1937 to 1938, but no copies have survived. This series was sponsored by Bordens and aired at 4:30 PM.
