The producer/writer of Our Miss Brooks was Al Lewis. Is this the same Al Lewis that played 'Granpa' on the Munsters?

I am not sure. I did a website search and landed on the Al Lewis websites. His bios do not mention any Our Miss Brooks involvement at all. But a list of Al Lewis movies has him a the director/writer of the 1956 film of Our Miss Brooks. So, I tend to think that was a mistake. I tend to think they are two different people. Another reason is that Al Lewis was an actor and on-stage for a very long time. He would mostly likely then be on-camera rather than behind it. The only other possiblity he would be in Our Miss Brooks would be the fact that he has a PhD in Child Psychology. Related fields? Teaching and child psychology? Then I went to my film biography book. There is an Al Lewis director/producer. But he died in 1958! He worked with Irving Thalberg.

I sure would like to know who the Al Lewis is that was affilated with Our Miss Brooks!

The Internet Movie Database has only two big screen credits for the "Our Miss Brooks" Al Lewis. One is the "Brooks" feature film and the other is as cowriter of the 1949 comedy "Ma and Pa Kettle."
