Another question about a mysterious Inner Sanctum episode. This one is labelled "The Corpse In The Taxi", with no dates provided. Jerry Haendiges' log for the series does not include any titles with "taxi" or "cab" in them.

This one definitely has an Inner Sanctum opening, middle bit, and ending, complete with the creaking door and Raymond's quips ("nothing's sure but death and taxis"). The story is that a young woman misses her train and has to catch a taxi home in the rain. Unfortunately for her, the taxi has a corpse in it, and the taxi driver drops her and the body off at her home. The body disappears overnight, and the police don't believe her. Any help as to the correct title for this would be appreciated.

If so, it's also 3/3/47, unknown cast so far.

I have this episode and it is titled "Corpse In A Cab" and dated May 23, 1945. I do not know if this is the correct date, but that is the one assigned to it by the person I received the CD from, and I do not remember who I got it from. It is in MP3 along with 71 other Inner Sanctum episodes. Jerry has it listed as "Strange Passenger" episode #423. Hope this helps. This is a
