Irene Rich was a Hollywood movie star during the silent era. While I not a movie expert, I do know of her radio background. She starred in her own program, IRENE RICH DRAMAS for Welch's Grape Juice, Welch's Grapelaide, and later Ry-Krisp. The program was on the air from 1933-1944 on NBC(Blue) and later CBS for the final 2 years.
The program was a weekly serial anthology program with Ms. Rich portraying the lead character. The length of the different serial stories varied. The serial that I'm familar with is DEAR JOHN (because I have 2 episodes of that story). During the 1930's, Ms. Rich also appeared in magazine ads for her sponsor, Welch's Grape Juice, on the subject of weight reduction. In the picture on the ad, she modeled an evening gown while displaying an attractive figure, thanks to the Welch's Grape Juice diet she went on. I hope this information will help you. |

This is additional information on Irene Rich.

If memory served me correctly, she appeared on a Western movie starring John Wayne during either the mid to late 1930's or early 1940's. I can't remember the name of the movie, but I do remember my father watching i |
