| Got the word from "Tom LaPorte, station manager at WMAQ which has been switched to WSCR, now at Q's old 670. that Old Time Radio which used to be programmed at 11.00 p.m. Chicago CST is going to be on WBBM 780 at midnight CST. This is then a return to where it was a couple of years back. That's great because I receive 780 much better here in southern Ontario. The only station the signal has to contend with is 750 Atlanta, 760 Detroit. |

Thanks for the info. Ah, WBBM, the the Wrigley Building. Was home of American Airlines "Music Till Dawn." Theme song was "That's All," performed by Aquaviva's Orchestra.

Nancy -- Other than call the station directly, which is your best bet, you could call the WHEN RADIO WAS at 1-800-723-4648. The web site is www.MediaBay.com. And THEN, on this side for Radio Spirits and the zillions of other merchandise that Media Bay carries, you will find an e-mail address, which I have found very, very slow.
And you will be pleasantly surprised on the web site to find you can listen to a full broadcast of WHEN RADIO WAS. Not in great fidelity though. More like listening to a radio show over short wave through an old telephone line. What the hech, the Media Player they have you listen on is only about 7 or 8 bit. "So, there you have it," as Stan says on the show! "Till next time..." Jim Stokes |
