| As part of another program or on it's own, I can remember from my childhood where some living in a tenement would yell out of a window, "Hey, Mrs. Goldberg". Subsequently, I also think that it went to TV in the 50's. I have not been able to find a reference anywhere in my limited searches. I appreciate in advance any help that you can give me. |

The series was originally called The Rise of the Goldbergs> but later changed to simply The Goldbergs>. Gertrude Berg was Molly and also the writer and creator of the series.

| I suspect you're recalling Molly Goldberg's weekly out-the-window conversations with Mrs. Bloom, which usually began with her shouting "Yoo hoo, Mrs. Bloom!" across the air shaft and continued with whatever gossip was being spread that week - and salient plot points to entice the audience to watch the rest of the show |
