Here's a tough one! In the early 40s about the time "Lights Out" broadcast "Poltergeist", I remember a show about a "firebug" that scared me. In this show a fire was preceeded by the playing of "My Sweet Little Alice Blue Gown", or some similar song with "Alice" in the title. I checked a "Lights Out" log but saw no title that rang a bell. I would sure like to know what program that was. I told you this was a tough one!

This sound familiar. Was this the story where a guy's wife turned out to be the firebug? As I recall, the story leads you to suspect the husband, but it turns out to really be the wife?

I don't remember any of the plot, characters, or outcome. I just remember that when the song was played there was a fire...and I asked my mother what a firebug was (I was five or six years old at the time). Do you remember what program it might have been? It was broadcast in '40 -'42 and in the evening because I was being put to bed and the thought of a "firebug" on the loose frightened me.
