| An old copy of sheet music on ebay pictures the novelty band The Kidoodlers on the front, with the caption indicating they were featured on NBC. Anybody know what program? The Kidoodlers made records in the 1930s for Vocalion, and evidently were in some movies. (I'm convinced they supplied music for some Betty Boop cartoons in the 1940s, but can't document that.) |

Say, I've been trying to get a lead to the Kidoodlers for several years, for a book. Can you tell me any more about them. I'd really appreciate it. \ thanks,

I can send you a list and/or tape of the 78s I know of -- most for Vocalion. Also a soundtrack of the Betty Boop cartoon "Musical Mountaineers." They made at least one Soundie (movie short for coin operated machines during WWII). That's about all I can find out!
What kind of book are you writing? |
