I'm looking for The Shadow Decoder Ring. My father sent off for one as a little boy and never received it. I'd like to get him one for his 65th Birthday. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Stacey,

Let me break this to you gently....there was no "decoder ring", not offered by the Shadow nor any other radio character. Despite the recollections of old guys who now "remember" such a radio premium; it never existed. (Look at it logically...how could you mount 26 letters of the alphabet and their code equivalents on the top of a kids' ring...and then use it for the stated purpose?)

The smallest decoders were on badges or belt buckles, i.e. Captain Midnight, Sky King, etc.

The Shadow offered only two rings, neither a decoder, of course. Both of them were supposed to glow in the dark. Both may be out of your price range as OTR dealers would now charge anywhere from $ 600 to $1300 for one. (These are very rare.)

Sorry I couldn't give you better news,
